The hotel is clean and tidy, and they cleaned our room every day. Staff were kind, polite, friendly, and laid-back. There’s a doorman after midnight for guests returning late, and the rooms have AC and a large ceiling fan. The Wi-Fi could be better. There’s also a shower beside the pool to rinse off the sand. We had a great couple of nights, and it was quiet at night. It’s in Zicatela, right in front of the beach, with restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars close by. The local market is a 15-20 minute walk, with fresh food, breakfast, and lunch available there.

It’s a bit worn, but the beachfront location makes up for it. The sheets were clean, the AC was strong, and the showers were hot. We only had one complaint: in room 13, the curtain was see-through at night with the light on. There are lots of nearby restaurants and souvenir shops. Taxis pass on the street, and you can catch collectivos up the hill on the highway.

The owners were super friendly and helpful, and the place had a great vibe. The room was basic but clean, with beautiful surroundings. I’d happily stay here again :)

This was probably the worst experience of my life. It was overpriced, and the service was terrible. When I turned on the AC, the hotel manager came to yell at me, saying I was using too much electricity. He then went on to threaten my life. Don’t ever go to Papaya surf.

A great spot for surfers, with good prices, right on the beach and close to all the restaurants. Enjoy!
