Frida Paradise

The location and service were both great. My room felt a little small, and it didn’t have a table, desk, or chairs.

The pool was decent, and the location is handy for the beach. Those were the few bright spots in what turned into a really disappointing stay at Frida Paradise. The place looked very different from the photos. My room was cramped instead of spacious and comfortable, and sound carried constantly. I could hear every footstep from upstairs through the thin walls. Concerts were loud until 11 PM each night, and the room vibrated with the noise, so sleeping was impossible. Staff didn’t do much to resolve the many problems I raised. The restaurant food was disappointing too, with little freshness or flavor.

The pool was nice, and the staff were great, especially Daniel. The A/C and hot water both worked really well.

I didn’t stay even one night of my seven-night booking. When I entered the room, a strong mold smell hit me right away. I’m familiar with mold because I’ve had to remove it from my own home, and I believed these hotel rooms had black mold. I contacted the owner back and forth to cancel and get a refund, but they refused because of the no-cancellation policy. The room also looked nothing like the photos. It was the worst hotel experience I’ve had, and I don’t believe this hotel is safe to stay in.
