Hotel La Quinta Del Sol

The rooftop was a favorite, with its huge ocean view. We went up each morning to sit in the hammocks, watch the sunrise, or do yoga. The hotel is right across from the beach, so getting there was easy, and it’s also within walking distance of the shops and the best “feet in the sand” restaurants. I came with my family and loved it. Nico and Mary are genuine, great managers who are easy to talk to and always around for questions. I felt very safe here. I also loved how authentic and real it felt, connected to the culture of the town.

We’ll definitely be back for a third visit. Nico and Mary are wonderful and do all they can to make the trip a great vacation. We especially like the private beach club just steps from the door, and the rooftop lounge chairs with what feels like the best view in town. Surfboards, boogie boards, paddle boards, beach chairs, and umbrellas are available for daily use. Each room feels like home, with AC, fans, bottled water, a fully stocked kitchen, and its own outdoor dining area. The housekeepers and grounds staff are welcoming and courteous. It’s perfect, as always.

The balcony and rooftop views are amazing, and the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. After days out surfing, taking boat trips, or visiting nearby Sayulita and San Pancho, it’s relaxing to come back to this quiet place. There are plenty of restaurants and activities close by. We loved our stay at La Quinta del Sol and are already planning to return with family.

We loved every moment and hope to be back soon. LaQuinta del Sol is a modest boutique hotel that’s charming, peaceful, beautiful, clean, and friendly. It reminded us of places we stayed more than 18 years ago, when we visited Puerto Vallarta each year and drove to the little town of Punta Mita. Mary and Nico are wonderful hosts with outstanding hospitality, and the staff are friendly and do a great job. It’s a good place to relax and clear your mind. There’s a small kitchen for making breakfast or coffee, plus a private outdoor area by the room with a view. The views from the rooms and the rooftop are incredible, and there’s a small private beach. It felt safe to walk the short distance to lots of great restaurants. We also had a great Uber trip to Sayulito. There are lots of shops, restaurants, and people there, unlike years ago.
