The location was good, and the front desk staff were really nice and helpful. But the hotel felt a bit run down, and finding dead flies all over our room, even on the bed, felt unhygienic. There wasn't a bin in the room, and the toilet bin had no lid.

The hotel is adorable and in a great spot, and the staff are SO LOVELY! We arrived on the night bus, and they stored our bags until the room was ready, then let us check in as soon as it was. On our departure day we had an early bus, so they packed us a lunch since we'd miss breakfast.

Breakfast was delicious each morning and had a great selection. Our room was wonderful, spotless, and had a comfy bed. Reception staff were so kind and helpful. We really loved staying here and would definitely come back if we return to San Cris 🙏☀️

The staff were so accommodating and helpful in arranging tours around the area. They organized them for us, and the guides picked us up at the hotel each morning. We loved our garden-facing room and its view, and the beds were super comfortable after long days exploring San Cristobal and nearby areas. Breakfast was included and delicious, especially the enchiladas. Yox Hotel is very nice and clean, and within walking distance of the main park, restaurants, and shops. It was my first visit to San Cristobal, and I had an amazing stay. I'll definitely stay here again when I return.

It definitely didn't feel like a 5-star hotel. The rooms are small with nowhere to put luggage, and I can't imagine staying longer than one night. It was freezing inside, with no heating, and it was warmer outside. I slept in my warm suit. Breakfast meant one choice of eggs, one piece of bread with butter and jam, and tea or coffee. The reception couldn't arrange transport to Tuxtla airport, no taxi or shuttle.
