The hotel has cozy little seating spots full of plants. Our room had no AC, but the temperature was fine and we slept well.

We were just a five-minute walk, about two blocks, from the town square. Our room had three beds, so there was plenty of space, and hot water was available. San Cristobal gets really cold at night, but the hotel brought us extra blankets. The room service was great, and Hotel Palacio felt homey.

There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the location is ideal for exploring. The internet, though, was horrible.

We nearly missed our flight after the airport taxi we’d booked through the hotel never arrived. We reserved it the day before. Reception first said it would be there in 20 minutes, but after we’d waited another 10, they told us there were no taxis.
