The courtyard is beautiful, the location is great, and checking out at 1 pm was a real plus. The building is old, which gives it charm, and the room was spacious with a TV that had Netflix, nice for unwinding after a long trip to San Cristobal. The staff seemed nice. It looked clean until we spotted used soaps and empty shampoo and soap wrappers in the shower. You have to ask for hot water before showering, which would’ve been fine if they’d told us at check-in. The bathroom also smelled a bit off, and an aroma candle didn’t help. We wanted to love it, but after a couple of nights we moved to another hotel.

There are only five rooms here, including one used by the receptionist. The staff gave us some useful information and were nice, but the room rates felt far too high. Breakfast is included, but it’s just coffee and some fruit. One day there was no coffee, another day no milk, and the next day no fruit. The blankets were dirty, the towels weren’t changed once during our week-long stay, and the rooms were dark and not very clean, though otherwise okay. We won’t return. It feels like they’re trying to make good money off a high online rating while giving poor service, and I suspect some of the online votes are fake.

Great place, nice and cheap! Right in the heart of the city, with charming rooms that are well equipped and a welcoming feel. It’s affordable and comfortable, and the friendly staff and services cover the basics. A sensible option for travelers.

The patio is really pretty, and we liked our room when we stayed last night. It was very clean, with a nice bathroom and a very comfortable bed. There’s no heating, but the beds are made up with a blanket and duvet. They offer free coffee, tea and water, and there’s a refrigerator for any food or drinks you need to leave. Cabins are available to rent for 400 pesos, though I’m not sure how cold they get at night.
