The best thing is where it is, close to downtown and plenty of restaurants and cafes. The rooms are basic and need maintenance, though they’re clean and fine if all you need is somewhere to sleep. Don’t expect a cozy room or a nice view, but it does the job.

We found one of the cheapest places to stay, thanks to a promotion, and had a clean, quiet double room. The bed was comfortable, the WiFi was good, and the TV could play Netflix. My girlfriend and I had a nice stay, and the location was very good. We also appreciated the free drinking water and that they let us leave our luggage at reception for half a day the next day. The downsides were no hot water, a receptionist who wasn’t very nice to us, and no help heating our food, not even access to a microwave.

The area was quiet, but the room was filthy: dirty sheets and bathroom, and lots of bed bugs. There was no hot water, even though the weather was 38 degrees. Places like this shouldn’t be allowed to advertise online.

It was nothing like the listing promised. There was black mold in the bathroom, no drinking glasses, no internet despite it being advertised, and the towels were rags. Booking online is unreliable. Book for one night only.

We’re traveling on a tight accommodation budget so we can spend on tours and good restaurants, and this place gave my picky girlfriend the clean, secure room with its own bathroom she wanted, plus more. Yuli at the front desk sold us tours for much less than the ones offered outside. She also offered to look after our things after checkout so we could go on more tours. It’s a four-minute walk from the main church in one direction and the bus station in the other. We’ll definitely come back and tell our friends! :3
