Hotel Santa Clara

I really liked the open, clean room, with air moving through it, and the comfortable beds. There isn't a king bed, though. The rate felt fair and affordable, and breakfast was included with the stay. The courtyard garden is beautiful, and the hotel is right in front of the park, close to everything.

Dec. 2020 - A 2 bed room cost 890 pesos/ $ 45 USD. The location is good, and there's a restaurant and Internet available. Parking is free, though away from the premises. In the historic house, the spacious room in the old section faces the street and is a bit noisy. You can choose a smaller, quieter room in the newer section at the back. The beds were very good, the sheets were cotton, and everything was very clean. The door lock looked flimsy, the TV only had one channel working, and the tiny bathroom smelled of sewage. There was hot water, but the pressure was so low that I got cold while showering. That made me switch hotels for a longer stay.

I really like this hotel. The people are friendly, the beds are comfortable, and it's pretty much in the city center. Things have changed, though: there's no pool anymore and the internet doesn't work. Check that your room has towels, as you may need to ask for some. The parking lot is a bit far, but that's to be expected. 8/10, I do recommend it.

The location is OK, but getting hot water into the shower takes 15 min. They're working on the public streets right now, and the noise starts at five in the morning, making it hard to sleep. The TV set doesn't turn off once you're in bed.
