Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Los Cabos

The Wi-Fi is still painfully slow as of Mar 2026, even though someone complained about it a year ago. Websites take a long time to load, and getting any work done here is impossible. Some days our room wasn’t cleaned either. I won’t stay again. At least the location and parking are convenient.

Jorge at the front desk went out of his way to take care of things. He treated Hilton Diamond members like VIPs and was exceptionally kind and helpful. Outstanding service!

We’d enjoyed our stays here over several years, but this last visit was a different story. The front desk staff were rude and seemed not to care, and they tried to charge us again for a room we’d already paid for. There’s only one luggage cart for the whole property. The rooftop pool is freezing, like a polar plunge, and the hot tub keeps having problems. At least we were there for just one night. They even had spaghetti and meatballs out at breakfast. We’ll stay somewhere else on our next trip.

At 10 PM, someone called our room, screaming and swearing that armed men were waiting outside the hotel and our room. They said they’d break down the door, kidnap us, and kill us unless we gave them a credit card number or sent a deposit by electronic transfer right away. I know this is a common scam and you can hang up, but would you sleep well after a call like that? Plenty of people still fall for it. When I tried calling the front desk during the call, nobody answered. There seems to be a serious security risk here. Someone is apparently giving the cartel guests’ full names and room numbers. I don’t think it’s the front desk staff. My guess is that someone in administration with access to the computer system is passing the information along. The front desk staff are so stupid that they can’t figure out what’s happening. Avoid this place. Even if it’s only a scam, getting a call at 10 PM from an idiot threatening to kidnap and kill you is awful.
