Hotel Boutique Jayco

The staff are super attentive, and the place is quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a small breakfast-only restaurant that's worth recommending. San Jose Iturbide is a small city, and being so close to much bigger Queretaro City may leave fewer reasons to stop there, though that's not because it has no attractions. This hotel is a great place to rest, and the price is cheap for the quality.

The upkeep is impressive. I think the hotel is five years old, but it looks practically brand new. The cleanliness is 10/10, with a genuinely clean smell and lots of attention to detail. The relaxed old hacienda decor and the lovely fountain in the central courtyard add to the feel. The receptionist was incredibly friendly, and the service really stands out. The rooms are spacious enough for solo travel, and the bathroom is large too, despite what some reviews say. There's only a fan, no air conditioning, which might not be enough in the hot season. Parking is limited to maybe six or seven spaces, and that could be an issue with the number of rooms.

The hotel and rooms are lovely, and the staff were very friendly. The service was excellent, though we expected breakfast and it wasn't available. You can hear everything from the other rooms, which feels a bit uncomfortable. Nights get very cold, so they could add another blanket or at least a small heater.

The food has excellent seasoning, generous portions, and prices that are within range, especially at breakfast. It would be helpful if the restaurant menu had a package or combo option. Service was excellent, and we were treated well from arrival through the whole stay.
