Hilton San Luis Potosi

The rest of the stay was good, but the breakfast service was a problem. At check-in, I was told breakfast started at 6 a.m. During my week there, the full selection was never ready at that time. I went to the front desk twice to explain that this wasn't okay, and I missed two morning meetings because breakfast wasn't set up on time. They took my room number and said the manager would be involved, but nothing happened. I won't return.

The rooms are spacious, though some look toward the nearby shopping mall, with a wall quite close to the window. The property is beautiful, and the service was attentive. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and dinner was good.

After a long travel day, I expected Hilton-level service and amenities, but several things fell short. Our first room didn't have the desk we needed. Staff moved us to another room, but that one had just one set of towels instead of the usual two, no rug towel, and no fridge, which we've come to expect at Hilton hotels. They also hadn't opened an account for incidentals at check-in, so trying to charge a meal to the room turned embarrassing. And our luggage wasn't moved when we changed rooms, so we had to handle it ourselves. Any one of these issues might have been minor, but together the poor attention and service made the stay frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn't recommend the hotel and hope management raises the standard. Disclosure: I used AI assistance to help organize and draft this review, but these are my own experiences.

The rooms were hot because the AC wasn't working well. It was cooler outside than inside. I was on the first floor, and the window was so dirty I couldn't see out into the courtyard. There was no coffee pot or washcloth, so I had to buy them at a store around the corner. The front desk wasn't very helpful, and the buffet was only fair. Of all the Hiltons I've stayed at, this one was the worst.
