The price was 850 pesos, with 150 returned as a security deposit. There's wheelchair assistance for getting up the stairs, and the place is central with a good view from the stairs. They didn't provide shampoo or conditioner, which was odd, and water from the bathing area flows into the bathroom. To get the deposit back, they sent me back to bring the remote. If a guest forgets to bring it down, someone from the hotel should ideally take care of that 🤔

The staff were kind and helpful throughout my stay, and they provide free purified water. The room cost MXN $500 a night for one person in November 2014, about US $34 at the time. But the Wi-Fi was extremely weak and slow, and I could barely find anywhere to charge my phone or computer. I eventually found one outlet hidden behind a piece of furniture. The restaurant wasn't worth the money. The prices were high and the service slow. They also didn't seem keen to serve a foreigner, even though I speak Spanish.

The rooms were clean, and the staff came across as friendly and professional. The hotel is one of San Luis Potosí's oldest grand hotels, right in the historic center. There are architectural sights all around, with churches, plazas, and cathedrals in nearly every direction.

The rooms were comfortable, and we had great service in a really convenient location. One downside: at times, many African immigrants lingered in front of the reception area and the hotel.

The rooms were clean and the service was very friendly. It's a nice spot close to downtown San Luis, though I wish they'd replace the TVs.
