Amaranto Bed and Breakfast

Staying at Amaranto B&B felt personal and welcoming from the start. The quiet area and unusual bungalows were appealing, but they felt dark and a little gloomy. You can’t open the windows without letting all the mosquitoes into the room. We didn’t meet any other guests, which made it feel “ongezellig”. Be aware that the pool is really just something to plunge into, not a proper swimming pool, and there isn’t a real place to relax outside, just a few high chairs in the yard. After a long day, the only place to chill is inside your bungalow, so I’d look for somewhere else for that.

The location was perfect for me, in a quiet, safe neighborhood about a 10-15 minute walk from downtown. I like walking, so the distance was fine, though there weren’t many nearby stores for snacks or drinks. Our room was spotless when we arrived, with a fresh clean smell, a mini fridge, coffee machine, TV, and storage. The bed was so comfortable that I slept really well, which usually doesn’t happen for me in hotel beds, and having the room cleaned every day made the stay even better. We skipped breakfast, though we should have tried it because it smelled heavenly in the morning. The host was warm and helpful, and you can tell she truly loves her work and business. There was also the cutest kitty in the little garden. Thanks for such a memorable stay, I’ll definitely be back!
