The check-in was rough. The man at the desk told me I didn't have a reservation and was rude and dismissive. I had to show it to him on my phone, and he still wasn't welcoming. After that, things went well. Rita kept the room immaculate, and she was great. The room was comfortable, and I loved the pool.

The noise was easily the worst part. People partied and ran through the hallways all night, and the hotel staff did nothing to stop it. It didn't feel family friendly. It also seems they hold parties in the pool area until very late, something I wish I'd known before booking. The rooms are old, dirty, and badly maintained, especially the bathrooms. The stairs and hallways smelled like pee. My room's phone and sink were broken, and staff didn't repair them even though they said they would. Housekeepers wouldn't give us an extra towel, and the towels we did get were very old and ragged. One of the worst experiences I've had. I'd never stay again or recommend it.

The pool and garden were lovely, and most of the staff were friendly and helpful. The room needs some upkeep: the main door wouldn't lock, one bedside lamp didn't work, and there were a few other small issues. The frustrating part was at reception. A woman there asked me to pay for the previous night even though I'd paid when I checked in. I also asked for an extra hour before checkout. She said no at first, then offered it for a fee. Come on, a little flexibility would be nice. No hotel I've stayed at in recent years has turned down a request like that.

The pool is fantastic, the food is excellent, and the service is super. This place feels like paradise every time.
