Hotel Samanu

The cafe manager was rude and hostile, and the WiFi details they gave me were wrong several times, so I couldn't connect until day two. The pool was listed as an amenity, but it was too cold to enjoy. My room felt bare and unwelcoming. There was no refrigerator, bedside lamp, chair, closet, or other storage, so I couldn't unpack properly. The water pressure was awful, and the hotel had used a slippery dining placemat as a bathmat. I nearly got hurt on it. This was an incredibly disappointing stay at Hotel Samanu. It felt like a roadside motel charging exorbitant prices, and fell far below a reasonable hotel standard. I would strongly advise against staying unless the amenities and customer service improve significantly.

The staff were helpful and very friendly, and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was good. The location is far enough from the town centre that the all-night parties don’t affect it. Just keep in mind that rooms facing the main road aren’t very quiet.

The staff were very kind, and the room was clean and decent, but we left after one night because what Expedia and Google promised wasn’t there. There was no WiFi, no Verizon cell reception, no fridge, and no blowdryer. It’s also not close to the beach or restaurants, and breakfast isn’t included. The room was huge but mostly empty, with just a chair, two beds, and a TV. The bed was really hard and uncomfortable. Maybe a mattress topper would help.

Children over 6 count as adults here, which means my family of four, two adults and two children, can't book one room with two double beds. They only allow two adults per room. Good grief.
