Hotel Laguna Tampico

It's inexpensive, but you're still paying for a room and it shouldn't have this many problems. The toilet seat was loose, and the bathroom, carpet, and walls had mold. The air conditioning vent was disgusting. There were definitely cockroaches, too. On the wall behind the headboard were little pictures that clearly hadn't been cleaned, with bits of false eyelashes left on them. I absolutely wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have no other choice. At first glance it looks fine, but those problems become obvious quickly.

The service is excellent, and the place is clean and organized. Customer care is great. Whenever I travel to Tampico, I always stop here.

We just got back, and it was a truly horrible experience. There was sewage outside the hotel. I guess that's why they're selling it. The room we were given was full of dog fleas, and they bit my feet. I have 30 bites. My dog had just been bathed and obviously didn't have fleas, but came back covered in fleas and ticks too. Anyone saying there are no cockroaches is wrong, there are cockroaches! I don't recommend it at all.

The location is great, but the hotel itself is in terrible shape. Sewage was right outside the entrance, the reception area was awful, and the staff were very rude. The cleaning was bad, the toilet was dirty, the room smelled strongly of damp, and there was no air conditioning or hot water. They didn't provide towels or soap. The towels and sheets that were there felt scratchy. The beds were rock hard, and there was no TV or internet in the rooms. The rooms had no windows facing outside except for the suites, which didn't have a good view, and the windows couldn't be opened. When we asked to change rooms, they got angry. I absolutely don't recommend it. If you have the chance to go to this hotel, don't miss it. 1/5
