It was the cheapest price in zona centro. One of the women I invited said it had been remodeled, and I guess it used to have “Mala fama,” though that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. There’s a hostel upstairs, and it has a younger Gen Z hipster vibe. I felt safe leaving my laptop 💻 and belongings in the room, and everything was still there.

They ask for a 500 peso deposit, which is laughable since they should be paying you for making it through a stay there. This place may once have been acceptable, but it’s deteriorated so much that I can’t justify staying now. I was extremely disappointed and will never come back.

Right in the heart of Tijuana, just off Revolucion, this is a great place if you’re on a tight budget. The Hostel is worth considering for a cheap stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facility was very clean. The free breakfast is the weak point, since there isn’t much, but it is free, so I can’t take off points.

The location is fantastic, and it’s a good budget travel option. The front desk staff were really friendly, and breakfast is served daily at 7:30 a.m. What bothered me was that a few times people came into the room without knocking, looked around, and left. Even in a hostel, people’s privacy needs to be respected.

I knew it was near the nightlife when I booked, and the weekend noise from the club can be rough if you turn in early. Closing the windows barely helps, so bring earplugs. Weekdays and daytime were quiet enough. For a two-week stay, though, it worked perfectly for the price. The room was basic, with a bed, bathroom, safe, and desk, but it was clean and felt safe. Every staff member I met, from the desk to security, was gracious and helpful. I looked at other motels with a local who could speak Spanish, since I can't. One pricier place had a beautiful marble-and-glass exterior and lobby, but its room was awful, so ask to see a room first.
