Hotel Mundo Maya Tulum

The hotel is in the jungle inside Jaguar Park, so it’s peaceful and relaxing, and the room was large. For the price, the facilities are good by hotel standards, especially the big gym and two large pools. We enjoyed our stay and decided on 5/5 for the value, though there’s room to improve. The restaurant wasn’t good, so I wouldn’t recommend eating there. The bathroom sometimes had a bad smell, and the pillows were large and stuffy, which made them uncomfortable. I called room service for different pillows, but they never came.

The hotel is new, with impressive decor and raised walkways. Rooms are spacious and elegant but still relaxing, and the service was excellent. The restaurant serves delicious food, including lots of local dishes. They use seasonal fruit and bake their own bread. The price was surprisingly low for the quality. Definitely recommend it.

A lovely new resort with great service and easy beach access. Ask the concierge to take you to Jaguar Park, a free service from the hotel. Entry to the park is $7 USD and includes unlimited rides on electric buses to all the beaches. I’d suggest El Faro beach for a family day, with about three more beach stops beyond it. The park museum is also great. Save your energy and take the electric buses. For $7, it’s an easy choice. The archaeological site costs extra, though whether to visit is up to you.

The concierge team organized a great trip to a nearby lagoon and kept in touch to make sure it all went smoothly. Staff were helpful everywhere we went, from bedtime turndown to the bell team coordinating our departure. My one suggestion would be cheaper transport into Tulum town. Taxis can be expensive, so a shuttle or colectivo would be a welcome option. The pools were large and pristine, with attentive staff nearby. Every meal was a highlight for us, with local flavors and international touches, and we weren’t disappointed by the food. Our room was spacious and thoughtfully designed, and the raised walkways and bridges through the greenery made the hotel feel immersed in the jungle. We arrived from the Tren Maya station using the complimentary transport. A refreshing drink and comfortable seats while we checked in made for a warm welcome. The architecture and service felt luxurious, and we’d gladly stay at another Hotel Maya property in the future.
