Casa Marlene by Casa Tía Micha

We came back to Valladolid during our honeymoon trip because we'd found the small city beautiful and full of little secrets. As a treat, we booked this remarkable hotel for our last three nights, taking the only room left, the honeymoon suite. The suite was huge, with a deep jacuzzi bath and separate shower room, and we slept so comfortably. It was also the first place where we could make coffee in our own room, something a lot of hotels in Mexico haven't cottoned onto yet. From the moment you walk in, the colors and feel make it seem like a Barcelona-esque space. The tiny pool and garden are inviting, and upstairs there's a terrace with another jacuzzi pool, plus places to sit and bask in the city sun or shade. The staff were fantastic and seemed clearly happy at work. It was lovely hearing them laugh together. Breakfast was vast and tasty, and we had amazing service throughout. The hotel was a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle. I truly recommend it. Treat yourself.

We were there as a couple for one night in early March, since a second night wasn't available. The hotel sits right in the center of Valladolid. The room was spacious, decorated with vintage furnishings, and had a very comfortable king size bed. It was an amazing place, with attention to detail. The amenities, breakfast, and garden were all great. Special thanks to Marlene for being so smiley and helpful, and to Hesus for checking us in and showing us around the room. We'll definitely come back, and highly recommend the place.

The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and carried themselves with an elegant humility. Their service left a deeply positive impression on us. With the lush green gardens, spacious rooms, and large, comfortable beds, we felt right at home.

Breakfast and dinner are included, and the staff were kind and happy to help. I really liked this little hotel. A couple of small things: housekeeping may switch off the AC while you're out, and the toilet paper is meant to go in the bin beside the toilet. It barely fits there, so the lid doesn't open properly.
