Tabasco Inn

We had secure parking, and it was easy to reach restaurants from the highway. They also allow pets.

The room was roomy, with two double beds, and the shower worked well, but the bathroom smelled bad and the beds weren't very comfortable. We booked two nights as a break between long bus rides because the hotel was cheap and close to the ADO bus station. The lobby looked all right, though staff were usually reluctant to help, even when we spoke Spanish. On the first night, guests kept shouting and talking in the corridors and banging on each other's doors into the early morning. The next night was quieter, but light sleepers should bring earplugs. Breakfast was a letdown unless you paid for the buffet, and the staff seemed unhelpful and gloomy. It's a joyless place.

The hard, uncomfortable mattresses were my one real complaint, and I wish the room had a stocked refrigerator. The price was reasonable, though, and I'd recommend the hotel for its staff, whose professionalism, courtesy, and hospitality stood out throughout our stay at the Tabasco inn. Our room was clean and nice. The hotel sits by the main highway, which is convenient, and despite the nearby flyover, we barely heard traffic. There's a good Denny's Style restaurant across the street, and breakfast was very good.

We were exhausted after a night bus from Puebla, and they let us check in early that morning for free. The staff were so kind about it. We stayed one night, and the room was clean and spacious, with a really comfortable bed. The Wi-Fi was extremely good, a great help if you need to work online. The restaurant was inexpensive and the food was delicious. We had pasta, which was a rare thing to find. I'd highly recommend the hotel.
