The location is handy, a block from the Cathedral and the main shopping street, and two blocks from parque Juárez. The historic home has been beautifully restored, with lovely rooms and patios. Candela, the attached restaurant, is very good. Staff were kind and courteous and always available. There’s refillable drinking water in the patio, coffee supplies in the room, and the laundry service was excellent.

A club half a block away made it impossible to sleep. The room was small, and there was only one plug in the whole room. The rooms themselves are fine.

Xalapa is beautiful, and this hotel has a subtle luxury with a 1600s style. The rooms and service were great, and the breakfast was the best in the city.
