The restaurant is excellent. Food is good and fairly priced, and the waiters are courteous and attentive. Our waitress was especially nice and tried her best, even though the pool is far from the restaurant. She sent the menu to us on WhatsApp, let us order by message, and that was very convenient. The pool visit, unfortunately, was a poor experience. I live nearby and went with some friends last Saturday to use the $130 MXN day pool pass, after previously having a good breakfast there. I haven't stayed overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms. Don't go if you're in a hurry. Several people were at the front desk, but only one apparently could help us, and we waited over 20 minutes for her. They also wanted exact change and only took cash unless we paid a 16% markup for card. The pool area is quite large, but there weren't nearly enough chairs or tables. We asked restaurant staff to bring more, but they declined, saying the pool was a separate area, like a "salón," and they couldn't mix inventory. It shouldn't be necessary to compete with other guests for somewhere to sit after paying to use the space. Between the front desk delay and the indifference to pool guests having nowhere to sit, I wouldn't go back for this purpose.

The restaurant was great and the service there was amazing. The interior looked really nice in person, but the rooms weren't good. I booked through Expedia after finding the place on TikTok, where it looked so nice. My bed had stains, the AC was broken, one light didn't work, and the bathroom towels had holes. I wouldn't recommend the rooms, though I would recommend the restaurant.

We ended up cancelling and finding another hotel. I had a reservation, but there was no elevator to bring our bags up from the parking area. The first room hadn't been properly prepared, with too few towels and toiletries scattered around. They moved us to another room, but there was hair on the floor and no lock on the door from the inside. The receptionist was okay, but that wasn't enough to make us stay.

Villas Las Margaritas turned out to be a gorgeous, clean hotel, and the room was incredible. For about $60 a night, we got a huge room, at least 700 square feet, with a jacuzzi. Everything worked well. The food was pretty darn good and not expensive, and we nearly had the place to ourselves. We'd driven for hours through beautiful, very curvy mountains, only to find our other hotel had lost our reservation and had nothing available. So we went looking for somewhere and discovered this place. What a surprise. The staff were incredible and friendly. They spoke some English and put up with my on-and-off Spanish. One bellboy helped me find my keys after I lost them in a senior moment. He didn't judge or seem to laugh at me, and wanted to practice his English. He was receptive when I tried to teach him and helped me with my Spanish too. Highly, highly, highly recommended if you're there. This is the spot for you.
