Nice place.

The location is central, there’s Wi-Fi, and the water does get hot, though it’s hard to adjust. Those are the positives. I only stayed because I needed somewhere in an emergency, and I wouldn’t recommend it otherwise. The bathroom was filthy and stank like an outhouse; the walls looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in years. Hot water pipes were exposed, and I accidentally burned myself by touching one. The room smelled strongly of damp too. At reception, the woman seemed like she hated her job and didn’t know how to treat a customer. Her expression made me feel as if I were asking for a free room. I’m giving it one star. If the owners read these reviews, they should take them seriously and use them to improve.
The location is excellent, and there’s parking. The rooms are spacious enough for the number of guests, but the bathroom is a problem: its fixtures are small, and the shower is impossible to set properly. You have to choose between hot and cold water. Some staff members could provide better service, and the billing and payment options need to be clearer. If you have a credit card, you’ll have to run to Oxxo to withdraw cash, since they take bank transfers but not card payments.
At least they provide invoices for lodging, and the location and parking are the main positives. If you’re just passing through and need to stay overnight, it’s one of the cheapest options in Xicotepec. A room with one bed costs $450, and one with two beds is $550. Other options cost 1300 to 2500 pesos, with the comfort you’d expect at those prices. This feels like an old house converted into rooms for sleeping, not a three-star hotel. I’d call it one star, suitable only for a short stay or an emergency. These are rooms, not hotel suites. There’s no TV or entertainment, just a Wi-Fi password so you can connect to their network. The bathrooms look old and smell musty, though there is hot water. They give each occupant just one towel, no extra towels, bath towels, or bath mats, so the floor gets wet. There’s no shampoo either, just a small bar of hand soap and one roll of toilet paper. The staff are discourteous and reluctant to provide anything extra you ask for.
It’s a basic place just for sleeping, and the service was good. But I had to keep asking for a towel and for a room change because they were doing repairs without taking the room out of service. They didn’t even provide toilet paper.
