Sheraton Guadalajara Expo

The rooms were very clean, and the staff were great. The rooftop lounge has a pretty good view of the city. The amenities were really good, especially the gym, one of the best I’ve seen so far.

During our stay at the Sheraton Hotel, Maria Orosco took care of cleaning our room, and she was wonderful. Everything was spotless, fresh, and neatly organized. She was also incredibly sweet and attentive, with a warm manner and a real eye for detail. Maria went above and beyond to make sure things were just right. We’re so grateful for her and highly recommend her service. The Sheraton is lucky to have her!

The location was convenient, within walking distance of Plaza del Sol. I also liked the clean, modern room, the peaceful pool deck, the spa, chapel, and well-equipped gym. But service was inconsistent. As a Platinum member, I didn’t get a welcome note or a room upgrade, even though suites and larger rooms were available. I had to ask for basic items like a bathrobe, slippers, and vanity kit. My late checkout access wasn’t set up either, and near the end of my stay I got locked out of both my room and the lounge. Strangely, the amenities only showed up after I tipped housekeeping. The sweet lady there deserves a shoutout, though. Breakfast was nearly charged to me despite being a Platinum benefit, and the lounge food wasn’t replenished. The worst part was checking out without any bellboy coming to help with my luggage, even though the lobby was empty. That left a poor last impression. I’ve been loyal to Marriott for years, but this stay has me wondering whether to keep chasing Platinum or switch to Hyatt or Hilton, where elite benefits tend to be more consistent.

The rooms are comfortable and really clean, and the staff are amazing. I love this place and it's always my go-to hotel!
