The room, Maya, felt like a little slice of heaven to me, right on the beach with a comfortable bed and spotless throughout. Looking out the window at the beach reminded me of an Edward Hopper painting. I loved the on-site restaurant and the posada’s spot right in the middle of Zipolite. The staff were fabulously friendly. I had a wonderful stay and am already counting the days until I can come back.

Just reviewing the restaurant: we went on a really busy night, but the servers were still friendly and efficient, working hard. I’ve seen other reviews say service was slow, but ours was fast. Drinks arrived in two minutes and all the food, pizza included, came within eight. Everything was excellent, fresh, hot, and tasty. Definitely recommend it!

We spent our days on the lounge chairs and only came in for dinner. The location and service were excellent, with two-for-one drinks all day and tasty breakfast and snack service on the beach. Their Mezcalita is great, and the pizza is really authentic. We also checked out the rooms, which are super bohemian! $

We went with friends for the drinks advertised at two for 150 pesos. I got Mezcalitos, while they ordered Mojitos. Mine were okay, but their drinks had almost no alcohol. When we told the waiter, he just added more rum to their glasses. After that we felt unwelcome. My friends finished their drinks and left, but I stayed to order one more because there was a show. Ten minutes later, they asked me to leave my table and move to the bar. I said no. Five minutes after that, they came back saying the table was reserved and I had to go to the bar. What a way to treat customers.

After living in Mexico for more than five years, I can say this was the best pizza I’ve ever had. We ordered pasta as well, and it was so good, it felt like being in Italy. What a surprise. Maya was a delight to meet, and told us her dad is Italian and her mom Mexican. We’ll keep visiting this amazing beach spot. Great service, incredible food, and fabulous drinks. Thank you, Maya.
