For a basic budget hotel that’s decades old, it was relatively clean. The bed was okay, and the TV surprisingly worked with a super clear picture. The fridge wasn’t working, so I had to change rooms because I needed to refrigerate perishables. There was a simple shelf for hanging clothes. The toilet is small, you won’t fit if you’re a quarter pounder! Hot water worked. They provided coffee, tea, bottled water, shower gel, soap, and toilet paper. Breakfast was limited but okay, with eggs, sausage, bread, local fare, coffee, and tea. The staff were cheerful and ready to help. PS, it can get a bit noisy if the family next door is loud.

There are no lifts, which makes the place difficult for wheelchair users and older guests. Hairdryers are limited too. Reception said none were left to borrow because guests hadn't returned them. At 18 degrees Celsius, I was left with long wet hair and caught a cold. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The Cattelya cafe food was decent, though payment was limited to QR or cash. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, and knew the attractions well enough to share useful guides. I didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms.

A good base for activities like trail walks, archery, horse back riding, and bird watching. Breakfast is included and was enough to keep us going for the day. The rooms have been refurbished beautifully, but there are no lifts.

Even the slightly larger rooms don't feel like great value, but they're probably a better choice than the budget rooms. Those have so little soundproofing that the person next door slept with the TV blaring all night.
