MÙ Hotel

The staff were friendly and helpful during my three-night stay at MU Hotel Ipoh from 28 Feb to 2 Mar. There are lots of places to eat nearby, and the room was clean and comfortable, with a nice bed. I had a pleasant visit and recommend it.

I attended the IKM Perak Branch Annual General Meeting at MU Hotel and found the venue clean, comfortable and well managed, with food that was tasty, varied and served efficiently. The staff were attentive, courteous and professional, helping the formal meeting run smoothly and creating a comfortable atmosphere for everyone. Mr. Calvin from the Sales Department was especially helpful and informative. His clear communication and quick replies from our first day of contact made the arrangements easy and stress-free. I’d gladly attend future programmes here and recommend the hotel for meetings, conferences and other organisational events.

The basement had free parking, with plenty of empty spaces when I arrived. Breakfast was a quiet, uncrowded buffet with enough variety for a 3-star hotel. My twin room had good lighting and plenty of power points, and was spacious enough for two. I liked that the shower and toilet were separate, though the sink being off-centre from the mirror felt awkward for brushing teeth or shaving. Water pressure was strong, but the shampoo, despite being labelled with conditioner, left my hair stiff. The mattress had an extra comforter layer and was soft, as were the pillows, so I slept well. The air conditioning was cold. The TV offered online streaming, with only YouTube free. Check-in was quick with no other guests around. They granted all my requests, including a 12.00 pm checkout, didn’t take a deposit, and gave us two key cards without us having to ask. There are halal and non-halal eateries nearby.

The room looked new, perhaps recently renovated, and was clean, with a pleasant, practical design. The area was quiet, and staff were friendly and professional. I booked through MU Hotel during a promotion, and Bonnie Lee answered my questions promptly and efficiently while I was outside Malaysia. The free shuttle into town had a very friendly driver, Andy. Breakfast was delicious and had enough variety. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting Ipoh.
