For a short stay, the room was clean and comfortable, and it came with two coffee kits. The Coway machine was especially useful, since water supply is often an issue in Sabah. There’s also a little platform in the bathroom for a toothbrush or cleaner while showering, though I kept hitting it because of the shower head angle. A cleaning kit is provided if you don’t want to use your own. The room is small, but I could work and sleep there without a problem. I ended up using the safety box as a laptop desk because the coffee table is concave. A small flat table would work better. Best of all, there’s no deposit.

The price was really affordable, and for one night the room worked perfectly. It was comfortable and had everything we needed, with nice service and easy check-in and check-out. It is a bit small, and the thin walls mean you can hear the neighbors, so I wouldn’t recommend it for light sleepers.

The air conditioner leaked and wasn’t cold on the first day. A technician came after I complained and fixed it, but later that evening it was still leaking and the room felt warm. They said the technician was off duty and promised to come back, but nobody came or messaged me. I complained again that evening, and still no technician showed up. They didn’t refill the bottled water the next day, and the bed is too high for children. With the air conditioner leaking and not cooling, it wasn’t worth the money at all.

From my 4:30 p.m. check-in onward, the room lost power four times. Technicians were sent straight away, but the problem kept happening. They told me to switch off the heater after using it in case it was causing the power trips. I did, and it made no difference.
