For what we paid, the place was totally fine, with enough room and two beds. The aircon was okay and so was the toilet, though there's no bidet, just a bucket, water, and toilet paper. They provide free water, but it was so warm every time that I ended up buying some anyway. These were little extras, and I wasn't expecting anything amazing for the price. There's plenty of cheap food nearby and it's right by Phillipines market. You can hear people's conversations very clearly, so I'd bring earplugs. Check-in is self-service, which lets you arrive late, but we booked through Trip and hadn't received the code, so we had to call on WhatsApp when we got there.

The room was fine, and the AC and water heater worked well. There was also a self-service iron and a water dispenser. But the toilet was a bit dirty and hard to flush, and the bed was somewhat hard. This is on level 2, with stairs only and no elevator, and check-in is self-service. My stay was in April 2024. The window wouldn't close tightly, so outside sounds came through clearly. The curtains were very thin and had no tinting. The next building was undergoing major renovation, with drilling clearly audible and very noisy on weekdays and weekends. It disturbed morning sleep, even on weekends, and they seemed not to care. Keep in mind the work might continue for the next few months.

Room availability is limited, so you can also book through the Agoda app for cheap prices. It's a good place for tourists or people who live far away, and the prices are quite low. Check-in is at 2pm and check-out at 12pm, with an RM10 deposit on top of the room price. Bringing a friend or family member costs an additional RM10. There are also extra charges if you dirty the clothes or vandalize anything in the room.

The Agoda pictures of the room and general surroundings are misleading. I understand it's a budget guesthouse, but they shouldn't show photos that look completely different from the actual room.
