Archeotel Hotel

The price was okay, and the room was big enough and cozy. There was no mineral water, the TV remote didn't work, and the air conditioner was so slow that it took hours to cool the room.

We chose this hotel because it was a 10-minute walk from HGH centre, and it felt fairly safe on a main road. The toilet and air conditioning were okay, but the towel was dirty, the room was dusty, and the bed sheets hadn't been changed. We'd paid Agoda in advance for one night in a double deluxe room, but when we arrived, another customer had been given it. They had no computer system for bookings and wrote them down by hand in a book. Luckily, two single rooms side by side were still available, so they offered those instead. Since we couldn't get a refund if we took one room each, and I didn't dare sleep alone in KL, my sister and I squeezed into one single bed.

The bedroom and bathroom were clean, the room was large, the location was good, and street parking was free. The staff were okay too. It was a little pricey at 50 RM per night, the Wi-Fi was very slow, and there was no elevator.

I booked a deluxe room with OYO Rooms for RM40, but at check-in they said OYO Rooms had messed up with the hotel and all deluxe rooms were full that night. They switched me to a single room for RM30 instead. The room and toilet were quite okay, and the staff were friendly, but it was noisy both inside and outside. You could hear every conversation from the room, and there was only one plug socket.
