The guest parking situation at Clearwater Residences seems poorly planned. There were only 3 guest bays for a building with 108 units, and an unused bay could have fit a delivery truck without blocking someone from leaving. After visiting a friend there last week, I returned to the guard house to give back the pass card and get my driver's license. A delivery truck was parked behind my car, trapping me, and neither the guard nor the lobby security did anything to ask it to move. When I first arrived, I gave the guard my friend's unit number. He asked how long I planned to visit. I honestly didn't know, since it might be an hour or more, so I said about an hour. He kept my driver's license and asked for my cell phone number, which seemed odd. In return, he gave me a passkey for the lobby and lifts and directed me to guest parking. That made me understand why he'd asked how long I was staying and for my number. I suppose the developers either didn't expect residents to have visitors or didn't want them to. Either way, it reflects poor planning. It's unfortunate the staff couldn't think on their feet to sort out the problem and seemed to expect guests to tell them what to do. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and this left me with a lasting negative one.
