Joy Inn Hotel

Getting around from here was easy since it's close to KL Central, and the owner was super kind. The facilities felt fair for the low price, and the room was comfortable. Just remember, they won't clean it unless you ask.

The room was clean and had a bed, a private bathroom, and a little room for my luggage. Staff were nice, and for a budget inn the standards were acceptable. There are no lifts, only stairs, so it's a poor fit if you can't carry heavy bags yourself. Its best feature is being close to KL Sentral Station, with trains and coaches to the airport and other cities. The surrounding Indian community felt fine to me, even at night. Value for money and location: 5. Cleanliness and staff: 4. Facilities: 3.

The room was small but enough for two, and there's a minimarket on the ground floor. The hotel is on the second and third floors, with no elevator, so getting luggage upstairs is a hassle. It's easy to reach, under a five-minute walk from KL Sentral, and the price is low. Fine for backpackers or solo travelers, though I wouldn't suggest it for families. You have to buy soap, shampoo, a toothbrush and toothpaste at the minimarket, and the blanket they provide is very thin.

Good Wi-Fi and a clean room made this fine for an overnight stay, and the bathroom was small. Entry security is good since you need to enter a password. The location near KL sentral is convenient. I did sometimes smell smoke from a neighbour who seemed to smoke a lot.
