The rooms were filthy, with hair on the floor and in the bathroom, and the housekeeping was poor even when I asked for it. Staff said they had forgotten or were too busy. There’s no lift, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs, and the housekeeping and quality don’t justify the price. I stayed here for several months. A previous hotel superior took my belongings without permission, and an employee asked me for money many times. There are some good things, as I said, but it can be a really unpleasant experience. If you’re after the worst experience, I’d recommend this place.

There was no room cleaning, handwash, shampoo, or shop. The washroom wasn’t up to standard, and signs everywhere warned that the deposit wouldn’t be refunded if anything was damaged. The place had negative vibes. I wouldn’t choose this hotel.

Getting into the hotel was already difficult: the door was locked and the bell didn’t work. I’d booked through Agoda, but when I arrived the receptionist said my room wasn’t available because of “overbooking.” Now Agoda has emailed me saying the hotel reported me as a no-show and that I owe a 16.73 MYR “cancellation fee.” Scammers!

Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The room itself was clean and well kept, with a cozy bed and enough amenities for what I needed. I had a pleasant stay at OYO 410 Brickfields Park Hotel, especially for a short visit.

If you’re travelling solo, this is a place I’d recommend and come back to. Mr Prince, who leads reception, makes sure you’re sorted and will go out of his way to help you find a restaurant, taxi, or whatever else you need.
