OYO 90121 Summer House Bed & Cafe

They charged me 30RM for the girl's shared room, even though I booked through Traveloka and they said, "We no longer accept booking from 3rd party." The place was filthy, with trash everywhere, no locker, no hot water, dirty sheets and towels, dirty toilets, no tissues, and a bad Wi-Fi connection. They didn't apologize at all for the poor service. Typical third world country.

The counter person at Summer House Bed & Cafe was very impolite and shouted at me. I told him Agoda had already charged my credit card for the booking I made and paid for two weeks earlier. He said they had no reservation for me, didn't have the money, and it wasn't his business, telling me to call Agoda. After I called Agoda, he said he'd been on MC for two days and had just returned to work, so he didn't know about the overbooking. That was a stupid answer. Why hadn't Summer House Bed & Cafe called me sooner? I could at least have found another hotel. I'm really disappointed. I won't book there again and won't recommend it to any friends.

I waited a long time at reception, then found a scary-looking room with very dirty walls and no TV channels. It didn't look like the photos. They asked me to change rooms the next day, saying I'd been given the wrong room, then suddenly said I'd booked that room. How could that be? The worst part was that I'd already paid, but at check-in they said it was fully booked and blamed Agoda. There's no parking lot, so you have to park beside the road, and the surroundings don't feel safe. I'd choose sentral hotel over this place. Really disappointed, and I won't go again.

The receptionist welcomed us nicely, and the location is perfect if you want to walk around at night and see KL's nightlife. But this place needs more maintenance and doesn't feel suitable for families. It seemed dangerous and unsafe because a staff member was drunk. They got into a fight when we arrived to check in, and there was another fight at 5:30 am. I don't know if that one involved staff or a customer.
