The city view was nice, and the KL Sentral location made it easy to get around. But after four nights here, I wouldn’t come back. For a four-star hotel, I expected better service. There are only four lifts for a 53-storey building, and I often waited 5-7 minutes for one. The toilet was kind of see-through, there was no regular housekeeping, and the one free service was only available after three days. After that, you had to pay. I also found a cockroach in my room. There were four or five front desks for different companies. The guy who checked me in was really nice, but checking out in the middle of the night before an early flight was rough. None of the desks were staffed, so the security guard went looking for someone because my driver was already there. The lady took her time and I could hear her scolding the guard for “disturbing” her break. She gave me attitude through checkout, even after I apologized several times.

It was easy to get around from here, with the nearest monorail about a 4-minute walk away and Sentral around 10 minutes on foot. The rooftop pool view and sky garden were especially nice, and everything else was great too. The main drawback was the lift. Waiting could take 10 minutes, and there was almost always a queue in the lobby. In the room, the showerhead was my only real complaint, but I could live with it.

I was glad to get a free parking space 😄. The room was clean and the facilities were excellent. You can see Merdeka 118, Twins Tower and KL Tower from here, and Tun Sambathan Monorail and KL Sentral are only a few minutes away.

We stayed four days in MapleHome, on the 45th floor. The view was mesmerizing, and the pool was great, but the rest of the experience was the opposite. The drawer was already broken when we arrived. A maintenance worker came and tried to fix it, but broke it even more 😆. The iron didn’t work either. When we called for room service, we waited five hours. They seemed focused on new check-ins instead of guests already staying there, and there didn’t seem to be enough housekeepers to keep up with all the rooms.

The rooftop pool gives you a great view across the city, and the apartment was nice for a reasonable price, just a few minutes’ walk from KL Sentral station. Noise depends on who your neighbors are. The walls and doors aren’t very solid, though it was okay most of the time. During rush hour, the lifts can take a while, so don’t get impatient 😁
