The location worked well for me because I had plans at a nearby hospital. There’s a food court nearby, but it closes as early as 2 pm and isn’t open at night. No mineral water or coffee/tea sachets are provided, so you have to buy them at the counter. It’s an old place with a weird system where you need to leave your key if you go out for a while. The room didn’t have a proper lock, only a buckle lock. There were lots of ants if food or drinks weren’t closed properly, and just two switch sockets in the room.

The room was decently clean. My only issue was that the cafe downstairs closed too early for hotel guests to get dinner. Maybe they could keep a few stalls open until 8-9pm?

The food and drinks are at normal prices, and the variety of hawker stalls seems to keep the business doing alright compared with other stalls. This restaurant is near the general hospital kuching, about 200 meter to the gate for visiting the hospital. It has regular customers among the hospital staff.

Parking is terrible to find. If you do find a spot on the other side, it costs RM5.30/day, and there’s limited space by the food shop area for RM5/day. The food is the usual local fare and okay to eat, but the shop isn’t very clean due to the customers and there are many flies. It mainly serves hospital visitors, employees, and walking patients who can’t stomach the ward food.

The room was clean and comfortable, though the shops downstairs made things a bit noisy. If WiFi is a must, don’t stay here. It’s limited to the 1st floor, and even when connected to their WiFi networks you might not be able to browse the internet.
