OYO 892 Hotel Grand Nadia

The staff were friendly, but the booking was a mess. We reserved through Agoda, then were told the hotel doesn't use Agoda. We called Agoda for a refund and booked a standard room at the counter for RM90. The room really needs work. The bed's springs were easy to feel, and lying on it gave us a slight tingling itch. The window wouldn't shut because its handle was broken, though we found it in the drawer. There were stains all over the wall and a large crack. The kettle had water in it and ants. The air conditioner leaked, the towel rack was partly broken but still hanging on the wall, and the toilet bowl shifted when you sat on it. The shampoo and body wash were half used. The small light and TV wouldn't turn on, and the makeup table was very dusty. We couldn't sleep well because the window wouldn't close. Mat rempit were near the hotel, and there are bars downstairs. You could clearly hear people talking or passing by.

The staff are really friendly and easy to deal with. For me to give it five stars, the rooms need better quality, fresh paint, cleaner upkeep, improved curtains and window latches, and an air conditioner that's serviced, since it was dusty and leaking water. More TV channels would be nice for entertainment too.

They carried out loud renovation work on a Sunday, which was incredibly irritating. I couldn't wait to find somewhere else. Update: they refunded me, and the staff were helpful and apologetic.
