The rooms are sparse but very clean, and the staff are helpful. For the price, it feels like good value. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk, and in the evenings food trucks gather along the wide sidewalk by the road with some really nice food. Noise carries through the building, though. The walls and doors don’t insulate well, so motorcycles and noisy neighbors are easy to hear. I also wished there were more outlets, so I could charge phones and run a mosquito vape at the same time.

The staff were really friendly, the rooms were spacious, and the water pressure was good. There’s free drinking water. It’s also well placed by the street food, with the beach and shops nearby. The two-person room could use a fridge like the three-person room has, and outside sounds come straight in, so bring earplugs.

It was cheap, but I didn’t feel comfortable staying here. The room smelled bad the whole time, the mattress was old and misshapen, and there were quite a lot of mosquitoes and small flies. The water was only lukewarm, and there was no safe or fridge. They only clean rooms for stays longer than three nights.

The owner is very friendly, and the room was clean and cosy, with basic things like gel, shampoo and an iron. It’s close to the beach and the food trucks that operate from evening into the night. The guest house is near Pantai Cenang’s beach and shops, but has a quiet kampung feel. I’d suggest booking directly with the owners. Their OYO contract has ended, so using another booking platform like OYO could cause complications.
