Euro Rich Hotel Melaka

Booking ID: 1128143641962914 I stayed from Nov 10, 2025 to the following day. I tried calling reception several times, but nobody picked up. I needed a receipt for the Melaka Heritage Tax and was told I could only get it at checkout. At checkout, the Indian staff member at the counter spent half an hour and still couldn't produce one paper. I asked him to send the receipt by WhatsApp, but nothing has arrived to this day. Why hire staff who are so useless in front of customers?

The price I paid was an absolute bargain, and the rooms and toilet were big. But the listing through Agoda was nothing like what was described. There were no basic toiletries, so bring your own, and the air conditioning might as well not exist. The so-called city view was a joke, see the picture. It's too far out and isolated. I wouldn't feel safe walking back after dark, and the customer service wasn't even basically courteous.

The room was damp and moldy smelling, and the bathroom stank. The air conditioner barely worked. I killed four mosquitoes, and the sheets were so stained I had to cover the pillows with my sarong. There weren't any toiletries either. Just don't book this, you can find somewhere better.

The area is near several attractions, including sari tower, navy musium, cruise jetty and dutch fort. It might be all right for a solo traveller, but the service and standards are very poor. We had a superior family room, but it was small for a family, had no window, and made for a very dull stay. The air conditioners were old, bathroom fittings were broken, and the hotel area wasn't clean and smelled bad.
