Qish Hotel

The bed made me feel disgusted, and the hotel was in terrible condition. There was no parking provided. Everything was bad enough that I honestly didn't even want to give it one star.

The room was a problem too: the sheets and pillow covers hadn't been changed or washed properly, with hair and stains all over them. I had to ask the person in charge to replace everything. There was also no real free parking. Local touts outside charged RM5 per day and RM15 overnight. When I checked in during the evening, nobody was at the front desk. I called the number on the door, and the guy told us to stay at the opposite Yellow Mansion hotel instead. Anyone could enter the lobby and walk up to any room, and the flimsy door and cheap locks didn't feel secure. The windows weren't soundproof either. I was late checking out by half an hour because I had bad diarrhea near checkout, but they still charged RM10 even after I explained. If you're considering it because it's cheap, I'd advise paying more for a better hotel.

The lack of a proper security system made us feel unsafe, and checking out was disappointing too. Nobody was at the counter, so we had to wait for someone to show up. We called many times but got no answer. A very bad experience overall.

After a six-hour trip from Kedah to Melaka with a small child, I arrived to find the room I'd booked had been cancelled by Agoda. I understood that the booking had been cancelled, but it was very disappointing, especially since I'd booked through Agoda and the listing said payment would be made at the hotel. I was left feeling dissatisfied with the irresponsible attitude of the parties involved. I hope this doesn't happen to other people or tourists.
