I booked two rooms for 29/8/2020, but on the day itself the hotel suddenly canceled and said it couldn't take any guests because of technical issues. I was already in malacca and had to find somewhere else, even though the cancellation wasn't my fault. They still deducted my money. When I asked for a refund, management told me to sort it out with booking.com. Because of the rules, it seems the money can't be returned if the booking is treated as a guest cancellation. Seriously disappointing service and booking management.

It's a nice place, but sound carries. I could hear the next room's alarm and people walking around in the morning.

The lack of privacy was disappointing, and the toilet is outside the room, so I think this place suits friends better than families. There was also no water yesterday, and when it came through it was very slow. Maybe something was wrong that day. The bed is a bunk bed, so check that before booking.
