I ended up extending my stay by a night after booking two nights in a Single Superior room. I’d found it pleasant and hadn’t arranged my onward trip yet, so I upgraded to a Deluxe Queen Bed room. The single was on the second floor, newer-looking but much smaller. The deluxe was on the first floor, where the air conditioning didn’t work as well. Both rooms had comfortable beds and pillows, and the sheets were clean. The property was generally clean and basic, just what I expected from a no-frills budget hotel. I felt safe, and the staff were helpful and pleasant. I appreciated Ben, Janith, Almeera, and manager “Ryan,” who I passed my compliments on to. There are lots of eateries and shops nearby, plus a big Jaya Grocer about a 5-7 minute walk away. The two things that kept this from being a five-star stay were other guests talking loudly in the corridor and hearing the shower and running water from the room above.

The solo-traveler room suited me well. It was clean and decent, with enough space for one person, a study table for work, open shelves for my things, and somewhere to hang clothes. I liked the shower pressure too. There was construction nearby every morning, which woke me up daily. The iron on the second floor was in poor shape, with stains all over the plate, possibly from someone ironing polyester. Each time I extended, there was a tax, but the amounts differed: RM5 the first time and RM10 the second. They also asked for a RM50 deposit, though they were kind about it when I only had RM20.

My superior room was small but had enough space for one person and felt freshly repaired. The bed, linens, hot water, and other facilities were all in great condition. I was happy they lent me a hair dryer for the whole stay, and I didn’t see or feel any bed bugs. I was disappointed there was no window. The booking pictures showed windows, but I learned that only deluxe rooms have them. Around the hotel and inside the room, there were long lists of charges for stains or breaking things, which made it hard to relax. Check-in required a 50 cash deposit. I couldn’t get cash, so they let it go. The neighbors were very loud every morning, walking around and talking, so I slept with earplugs. There are restaurants, a 7/11, and banks nearby.

Booked through an app for a small discount. The hotel was decently clean and within walking distance of banks, 99 Speedmart, and places to eat. Jaya Shopping ctr and Digital Mall are close enough for a bit of shopping. WiFi was fast in the afternoon. A few things to know: there’s no TV in the room, and water marks show on the ceiling. Soundproofing is poor, so you hear other guests and construction outside. The bathroom floor gets slippery when wet. Early check-in and late checkout are charged by the hour, and the hotel doesn’t make up rooms on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The rules and penalties, shown in the image, seemed strange for a budget hotel. If those don’t work for you, best to stay elsewhere. Honest review. People who give it five stars may be overlooking some things.
