Tropical Hotel Kota Damansara

The reception staff were friendly and gave good service, which was a bright spot during a disappointing stay. My room was dusty and smelled unpleasant, so cleanliness needs significant improvement. It was below par for me. Parking was another inconvenience, with no free parking and a charge of RM2 per hour. I won’t stay here again.

The staff were pretty friendly, but the room was bad. There’s no balcony, the bathroom is small and smells bad, and the pillows had strands of hair on them, so I don’t think they’re washed properly. There wasn’t an air-conditioning remote at all. As for smoking, you can see the hotel’s policy 🙄

At night, five or six people were smoking and chatting on the balcony, which is open to everyone and attached to one of the rooms. It was so disturbing that we couldn’t sleep. The bed looked yellowish and not clean, the towel seemed dirty, and they don’t provide toothbrushes. The location is confusing, there’s no parking for customers, and the staff weren’t very friendly or quick to reply to messages. They also charge for checking in an hour early. It felt like they only cared about money and not their reputation. This was a very bad experience, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. They don’t deserve even one star.

I felt scammed by Agoda. The room they showed me was much bigger than the tiny, dirty one I was given at check-in. I paid extra to upgrade, but the stains and cleanliness were still awful. There was room to work, but no chair. The staff were quite helpful while changing my room. Still, for 150 you can get a better room at another hotel. Not worth it at all.
