Uncle Chang Sipadan Mabul Dive Lodge Semporna

We enjoyed staying here, and thank you for the service. The room had a beautiful view, the food was delicious, the staff were kind and helpful, and the manager was always available. Diving was good, and prices were lower than at other places. There were a couple of problems: once breakfast wasn't prepared, so we went diving hungry. They also asked us to leave the room four hours before our departure, which meant waiting outside for the boat. We recommend this dive center.

The diving at Sipadan and the local Mabul sites was spectacular. I also enjoyed a short jog around the island and getting a glimpse of local island life. Uncle Chang place has a friendly vibe and felt safe for tourists. Many people travel here every year without issues. The staff were professional, helpful, and genuinely passionate about the marine environment. For divers, this lodge is a must-visit. Knowledgeable staff, breathtaking diving, and well-run operations made for a perfect trip.

I was traveling solo and only used them for diving, I didn't stay at their Mabul Lodge. Booking ahead was easy thanks to top-notch communication, and the prices were really good for what they offer. The instructors were super kind and knew their stuff. The equipment was well maintained, and I felt safe the whole time. They seem popular for tech diving, which is cool. I dove with them for two days, two of the best diving days of my life. Lunch was pretty bangin too. If you're after a Semporna dive shop with as many Sipadan days as possible at an affordable price, this is the spot!

I can only speak to the Sipadan diving. I paid 300 USD for one day, but our first dive lasted 27 minutes and the second 35. My understanding was that we'd get 60 minutes underwater for Sipadan. At this price, think carefully about who you dive with. If one person runs low on air, whether because they were busy taking photos underwater or didn't stay with the group, everyone surfaces together. It seemed to me that the dive shops cater to Chinese tourists who care more about underwater photo shoots than exploring Sipadan's corals.
