Corsica Hotel

I booked through Agoda and found bed bugs on both the first and second nights. I only managed to catch some on the second night, then went to reception at 3 a.m. I found a man and a woman sitting in the corner. The night shift staff member told me the hotel had no bug spray or anything to deal with it. My arms were covered in bites, and I stayed awake all night to make sure nobody else in the room got bitten. In the morning I showed the front desk the live bugs I'd caught, and they moved us to another room. Luckily, we found no bugs there. They said management would be told, but I heard nothing until checkout, when I had to ask. It felt like management didn't care, and nobody even contacted us to apologize. The front desk said management would compensate us. We had to leave for a flight, so we didn't argue further and trusted what they said. Today Agoda refunded me only IDR 100.000, about RM25, from the IDR 4.9 million I paid, while charging a cancellation fee of IDR 4.8 million. The hotel marked it as a customer cancellation instead of one made by the hotel, so apparently we were the ones who broke the cancellation policy. RM25 doesn't even cover the Grab fare for the return trip to the hospital, where my brother went after getting sick following our stay. That may or may not have been related to his bug allergy. I already made a whole piece of content about this hotel and hadn't planned to share it further. But after this refund, which felt insulting, I might as well double down.
