West Inn Motel

The room and toilet were clean, and the bed and pillows were in good condition. Towels, tissues, a mug, and simple soap were provided, but there was no shampoo, kettle, or tea or coffee. There wasn’t a plug by the bed either. One was at the table, and the other was being used by the TV. The toilet door wouldn’t lock, and the room door uses a traditional key. The toilet pump worked. The air conditioner only went down to 20 degrees, which felt comfortable enough, neither too warm nor too cold. The TV had basic channels. The street view was fine, and although it’s on the road, the surroundings weren’t very noisy. It’s next to bh petrol station and near Lotus, Aeon Taiping, and Taiping Sentral Mall. Free parking is available, but building security seemed minimal. The receptionist gave good service. It’s an affordable stay for the service and room quality. There’s no lift, only stairs, and the building has two levels with 18 rooms. A refundable deposit of RM50 is required. Check-in is at 2pm and check-out at 12pm.

The RM68 room felt just like the rooms priced at RM180 and above. It was fully equipped with a desk and chair, very clean, and had a nice Panasonic shower kit. The customer service was friendly. Umobile reception was very good, and the WiFi speed was 120k.

For a short stay, it’s good value, with a comfortable bed, hot shower, and working TV and air conditioner. There’s a major supermarket nearby, so food options aren’t hard to find. It’s right beside BHP petrol station too.

I spent a couple of nights here and would recommend it if you want a decent room at a very affordable price. The rooms are large and, most importantly, very clean. The receptionists were well mannered too.
