After all these years, they should replace the bed, bedsheet, and anything else that needs changing. There was a bad odor and mites, and anyone with rhinitis might have a hard time with the room’s condition and smell. Also, why are the socket and switch inside the wardrobe?

The exhaust fan is broken, and for RM80 a day the room feels a bit uncomfortable. It left me with an unpleasant feeling about the room.

The restaurant right next door is handy, and Tambunan town’s center is where you’ll find this motel. My room was clean and had no odd smell, though the facilities are old. You can pay with cash or Boost, but not by credit card. The walls don’t block much sound, but it happened to be quiet during my stay.

We spent a couple of days with Mr. Yabin Ginsari and his lovely family, and it was one of our best stays in Malaysia. He welcomed us warmly, helped us order great food at a local restaurant, and drove us to Mahua waterfalls, which I recommend, as well as a couple of other spots around Tambunan. A great place to stay if you’re in Tambunan, especially for foreign backpackers.
