Villa Das Mangas Garden Hotel

I was there briefly for business. The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was comfortable and clean. The shower taps were old and hard to manage, but the water was hot and had enough pressure. I felt I got what I paid for and would happily stay again.

The breakfast incident really put me off. We found hair on the pineapple, and when I told the man in the dining area, nobody came to apologize. The pool was crowded and not very clean, with cats wandering around too. In my room, the shower didn’t work properly, and the room felt poorly managed and smelled stale. The website gave me the wrong impression. I wouldn’t recommend this place, and I won’t stay here again. It’s definitely not a four-star hotel.

Breakfast was a poor spread for something advertised as a buffet: just bread, cheese, and salad, with eggs available only if you ordered them. We even waited for butter until we’d finished eating. The room smelled terrible, the air conditioning didn’t work, and the old, untidy rooms and uncomfortable beds made the stay unpleasant. The chairs by the pool were old too. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially for the price.

The food was good and the beer came cold. My room, though, felt cramped because so much oversized furniture was packed into it. It would’ve been more comfortable without the bar fridge and that big white chair. Aside from the room setup, things were good.
