Good food and a really good restaurant, with friendly staff. The hotel is well placed on the way to Luderitz, and the rooms are basic but very clean. Sleeping was difficult, though: the fan was EXTREMELY LOUD and had to stay on because of the heat. It sounded like someone chopping through the wall. I’d strongly recommend considering air conditioning.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and the atmosphere was relaxed, with good Wi-Fi. As a vegetarian in Namibia, I was glad to see several interesting-sounding options on the menu, including a spinach and feta roulade. But everything turned out to be deep-fried, which was a pity. I still think the restaurant is worth 4 stars for the effort, service, and atmosphere.

The menu as a whole was overpriced, and the hotel felt overrated and too expensive. We ordered fillet and veal for dinner. The presentation looked good, but the food was poorly prepared and below standard, barely edible. The chef should take courses in preparing these dishes.

There’s no WIFI in the room, and it was hot at night. I also remain concerned about the hallway’s main door being locked in the evening. If there’s a fire or another emergency, you need to get out quickly, not search for a key. The inside should have a handle you can push to open; a fire marshal would disapprove of the current setup.
