Paige at reception was really helpful, and the secure parking for our camping vehicles was a plus. I’d recommend the place for a one-night stopover. It’s clean and functional, with a roadside motel feel, though the room situation wasn’t ideal. Our first room, #15, was beside the laundry, where large industrial washers ran all day. Our companions’ room, #18, faced Nelson Mandela Drive, a busy and noisy main road day and night, so we were moved to another room. Most rooms open right onto the parking lot, with people passing your door all day. It gets hot, but with doors and windows open, people on the path can look straight in. The self-catering setup is limited to a small cupboard with dishes and cutlery for two, a kettle, and a microwave. There’s no chopping board, work surface, or separate wash-up basin, so I had to do dishes in the bathroom sink.

I called to ask about the rates, but the woman helping me was very rude and hung up on me. Bad customer service.

Our unit had its own enclosed garden, which was tidy and peaceful, and the host let us bring our 10-week-old puppy. The place was clean and had everything we needed. Staff were helpful and offered daily cleaning.

The breakfast was tasty, and the rooms were clean. Staff were friendly too.
